What is Cookiebot?
Cookiebot is a customisable consent interface informing your customers about the use of cookies and asking their consent to set cookies on their web browser. The cookiebot works in the background with minimal impact on the overall user experience.
Installing Cookiebot
Go to Payments Admin and then click Action.
From the drop-down list, click Change information.
Within the Site Configuration window, fill out the Site Name then click Next.
Enter your Google Tag Manager ID and click Next.
Complete the remaining fields to build your page and click Preview Design.
If you're setting up a new page, you need to create a new site. You also need to make a new ID in Google Tag Manager by clicking on Create Account.
To confirm that Google Tag Manager is being served, you can use your browser’s debugger with F12 on your keyboard, under the Network tab, by looking for the gtm.js
Configuring Google Tag Manager
Log in to your Google Tag Manager account and either select the existing Tag Manager account you want to use, or create a new one.
Select Tags from the side menu and then click on New.
Give the tag a name. and then click Choose a tag.
In the tag gallery, search for Cookiebot and select.
Select Add to workspace.
Enter your CookieBot Domain Group ID.
📌Note: If offered a code snippet, you don’t need this for integration into Access Payments, just the ID portion. It is always visible at the top of the Tag Manager page.
Configuring Cookiebot
📌Note: You’ll find your CookieBot Domain Group on the CookieBot website. You’ll also need to visit the domains setup to allow the domain you're using this on.
In Google Tag Manager, scroll down to the triggering section and select Choose a trigger.
Select All Pages then click Save.
Click Submit.
Go to your preview page and click the refresh button.
A Cookiebot consent management interface should appear on the page.
