Handling file validation errors in DDCMS Direct

Steps to take when validation fails in DDCMS Direct.

If your uploaded file shows a 'Validated with Errors' status, it means the system has found issues that need to be corrected before the file can be processed. Please follow these steps to resolve them:

  1. Click Review and Fix File.

  2. The File Content Review screen will appear where you can check the file.

  3. Go to the Validation tab which will provide a summary of all validation errors found in the file.

  4. Download the error list and use this to identify which lines in your file contain issues.

  5. Open your original file and fix the highlighted errors (e.g., missing fields, invalid sort codes, incorrect dates).

  6. Once you've made the changes, re-upload the file to DDCMS Direct for revalidation.
