You can update the first amount by uploading an "Update First Amount" file. This is for fixed or rolling contracts.

πŸ“ŒNote: We recommend running a future payments due report after making any price changes to ensure the amounts are correct.

To create a bespoke template to update the first amount, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to File Upload tab.

  2. Click on Template Library.

  3. Click on Create New Template.

  4. Add a name for your template in Template Name field.

  5. In Action Type select Update Existing.

  6. In Template Type select Update Contracts.

  7. Tick Does your file have a header if you wish the first row of the file to include headers.

  8. The Optional Fields table appears, with the fields available for updating information.

  9. You must then move Direct Debit Reference Identifier and First Amount over to Chosen Fields by dragging and dropping.

  10. Click Save.

  11. Your template then appears in the Template Library, press the Download button to obtain a XLSX or CSV file for completion.

Once you have created your new template, please follow the steps below to upload the file:

  1. Click the Upload a file tab.

  2. Select the template from the drop-down menu.

  3. Under the Data File tab, click click to select file.

  4. Click UPLOAD FILE, then click OK.

  5. Click on the Upload File button.

  6. If validated with errors, you need to correct the errors.

Once your file has successfully submitted please check your payer's contract has updated by searching the payers within the contracts tab. Click into the payer and then onto the contracts page, the new amount shows. You can also use the calendar view to check the first payment is showing correctly.
