If a Direct Debit's status shows as Suspended, the Direct Debit instruction hasn't been successfully lodged with the payer's bank. While the contract remains suspended, collections won't be attempted.

Check why the contract is suspended

  1. Open the payer's profile.

  2. Select Contract Updates.

  3. Review the AUDDIS code returned against the Direct Debit instruction.

  4. Refer to the Guide to Bacs transactions codes for an explanation of the code and any action required.

AUDDIS code B Account closed

For AUDDIS code B (Account Closed), the customer's bank details will need to be updated before restarting the Direct Debit contract.

📌Note: Future payments continue to appear in the Future Payments Due report and calendar view while the contract is suspended. These payments are displayed for reference only and won't be collected. To remove these from view, skip the payments or terminate the contract.
