Can we amend the wording on our Direct Debit mandate?
The Direct Debit mandate we provide you with is a BACS approved document and therefore we're unable to amend the wording or small print.
If you need to update the trading address or trading name on your mandate, please contact us via the Access Digital Assistant, advising your new details and we can update your mandate.
Can I still use my existing Direct Debit mandate after migrating onto the Access PaySuite DDCMS platform?
If you have migrated over to Access PaySuite DDCMS platform, you're still able to use your current Direct Debit mandate.
If any changes are required to your Direct Debit mandate in the future, we will advise you and provide an updated copy.
Does a paper Direct Debit mandate require the payer's address?
The Direct Debit mandate doesn't have a section to capture the payer's address. The contact information, including the address need to be recorded by you.
πNote: The Direct Debit mandate does a have section for the customer's bank address, this isn't mandatory so can be left blank.
Does a paper Direct Debit mandate require the payer's signature?
It's always necessary for paper Direct Debit mandate to be signed in case of any disputes over your authority to take payments.
You shouldn't accept a paper Direct Debit mandate and create a Direct Debit on the system unless it's been fully completed and signed.
Can we add a field for credit card details onto the Direct Debit mandate?
As a Direct Debit mandate is a BACS approved regulated document, no fields can be added or removed.
Is there a time limit for setting up the Direct Debit once the paper Direct Debit mandate has been completed?
Ensure that you set up the Direct Debit within thirty days of receiving the signed Direct Debit mandate. After this time period we advise you to obtain a new dated Direct Debit mandate.
