Erase the data of a customer

Why we are unable to erase the data of a customer.

There may be occasions where your customer has requested for their data to be erased from your records, including their Direct Debit information contained within the Access PaySuite DDCMS system.

Due to the nature of the Direct Debit guarantee, we are unable to completely delete customers from the database as information must be held in case of future dispute of the Direct Debit and the payments collected. For example, the customer raising an Indemnity Claim.

You may wish to make note of the data erasure request within the customer by adding a memo. If you require any further information, please contact our Access Digital Assistant for support. If the assistant can't resolve your query, you're connected to a support agent for further investigation.
