Welsh language support in eDD

Providing dual language options in eDD.

Written by Ollie Denning

When using the Payments product within Access PaySuite, any Welsh language settings configured in Access PaySuite DDCMS are automatically applied to Payments. No additional setup is required in eDD because the system inherits language preferences directly from the Access PaySuite DDCMS provider settings, ensuring consistency across platforms.

To enable dual language functionality on your eDD sites, the Welsh Language Support option must be activated. This feature allows customers to choose their preferred language during the sign-up process. If you would like this option enabled, please contact our Access Digital Assistant. A member of the Support team will apply this setting for you within your account configuration.

πŸ“ŒNote: Welsh language will only be available for DDCMS provider and not for external provider.

Language options on the eDD setup page

When Welsh Language Support is enabled, customers have the flexibility to choose their preferred language during the Direct Debit setup process. This feature ensures accessibility and supports your compliance while providing a clear and user-friendly experience.

  • A Language selector appears at the top of the page, allowing customers to switch between English and Welsh.

  • Selecting Welsh activates a dual language display, showing key information in both English and Welsh for added clarity.

  • Confirmation pages and print views reflect the chosen language for consistency.

This bilingual functionality helps customers complete their Direct Debit setup confidently in their preferred language.
