Client grouping in DDCMS Direct allows you to manage multiple clients using the Active Client Scope selector. The system updates the features and information you see based on the clients you have selected.

Feature Visibility

The tabs shown will depend on the type of clients included in your current scope:

  • DDCMS‑only clients: Standard DDCMS tabs appear.

  • DDCMS Direct clients: Only the DDCMS Direct tab is shown.

  • Mixed selection: Both sets of tabs appear. Each tab displays information only for the clients that support that feature.

The view updates automatically whenever your scope changes, and you will be returned to the Home screen.

📌Note: If you try to access a feature that your selected clients do not support, the system will redirect you with an explanatory message.

Administrator Screen

Certain administrative settings are only available when a single client is selected.
If multiple clients are selected, the following areas will not be accessible:

  • Permissions

  • Email Notifications

  • Settings

A message will confirm that these options require selecting one client.

User visibility also adapts based on access:

  • Group users are shown as Group Access.

  • Direct users appear as Direct: [Client Name] only.

Users who do not have access to the selected client will not be shown.

Filtered Views Across the System

Many screens update automatically to match your active scope:

  • The Home dashboard displays tasks and recent files only for selected clients.

  • Approvals shows pending approvals for the active client only.

  • Incoming and Outgoing files list results filtered by your scope, with search filters working alongside this.

File Upload Controls

All file upload and processing steps require selecting one client. Validations and options apply only to the selected client, including:

📌Note: If you change your scope while uploading a file, you will be prompted to return to the original client before continuing.
